Telenor is becoming one of the favourite telecom mobile service provider company in Pakistan. Few years ago, Telenor was let down by huge numbers after the incident of Denmark when an artist drew the photos of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Telenor clearly indicated at that time, that they are a multi-national company and has nothing to do with Denmark in that aspect.

Since then, I have only seen Telenor becoming a favourite mobile service provider in Pakistan. Telenor made their way in and is getting deep into the roots of not only mobile users but every citizen of Pakistan. Even though Telenor had a tough time in market, but still clearly making their way up with the launch of different services.

Telenor launched the most exciting and I would say one of the best service “Easy Paisa“. Easy Paisa is world’s first such kind of mobile banking and money transfer service, and because of it, CNN International wrote a report about Telenor’s Pakistan.

Now the new step by Telenor in March 2010 is the Karo Mumkin campaign. It’s time for Pakistanis to wake up and see how they see Pakistan in the future. We do agree that Pakistan is going through a tough time, but that does not mean, Pakistan is nothing important. Pakistan is our land – so love it, or quit it. In this Karo Mumkin campaign, people from all over Pakistan are going to show either in writing or in visual that what do they think about the future of Pakistan. Telenor Easy Paisa one of the most unique and great idea introduced by the Telenor Pakistan to pay utility bills and transfer money to friends and family through mobile gain such an importance that CNN took interest in it and made a report on it. Telenor Pakistan is no doubt doing a lot of good things within this country. The best thing I liked about them is that in their every service they are taking care of the people more than them self.

On the report by CNN, Gerhard Romen from Nokia said, “In the future if I want to send you money, the only thing I need to know is your mobile number.”

Telenor Easy Paisay is an emerging service and people have started using it widely across Pakistan. The ease of Easy Paisa service makes it very simple for the people to use it. Telenor started giving out the news of their Easy Paisa service in local languages too, so that they can reach to other areas across Pakistan.

Recently Punjab TV started telling the description of the Easy Paisa service in local Punjabi language so that the message and simplicity of this service is spread throughout the province of Punjab in the local language and people understand it more.

Telenor Easy Paisa Money Transfer

A month back Telenor announced a new unique kind of service named “Easy Paisa” by which anyone (either he/she is a mobile user or not) can pay their utility bills at any Telenor outlet. As promised by Telenor, that they will give more to the people, today started a new service as a part of their Easy Paisa program called “Money Transfer”.

Telenor started the joint venture with Tameer Bank and started the service of Easy Paisa. Now with the help of their new feature added to the Easy Paisa program people across Pakistan can now transfer money to anyone using this easy paisa service. Whether you have a mobile phone or not, that does not matter anymore for Telenor.

Instructions to send money to anyone using Telenor Easy Paisa:

Sender must have the originalnational ID card issued by Nadra.
Sender needs to bring a photo-copy of national ID card too.
Sender needs to provide only the number of national ID card of the receiver.
Sender can provide his own and receiver’s mobile number too. If the sender provides it, then sender and receiver both receive the confirmation of money transfer. (Optional)
Telenor Easy Paisa Outlet (EPOP) person will transfer the money using the similar procedure like balance sharing.
EPOP will ask the sender to enter a secret transaction code number. (Do not share this code number with anyone else, even the EPOP)
EPOP will give you a receipt of the transaction with the transaction ID.
Pay the amount (Sending Amount + Transaction Charges) to EPOP.

Instructions for receiving money:

Receiver must have the original national ID card (NIC) issued by Nadra.
Receiver needs to bring a photocopy of the NIC too.
Simply tell the EPOP your transaction ID.
EPOP will ask you to enter the secret transaction code number on his phone.
And receive your money..
… that as easy as ABC …

Telenor Easy Paisa Service Charges:

Telenor restricts and limits three transactions per month on a single NIC.
The maximum amount transferred per transaction is Rs.10,000.

Telenor Pakistan launched their customer web portal today with the name of Telenor Persona Weblounge. With the help of this online weblounge customers can not only buy new connections, they can even use the mobile network portability option and get their connection on the Telenor network. The Telenor Persona customers can pay and view their bills online.

With the help of Direct deposit option (if customer enables it) they will be automatically charge every month from their credit card for the usage of their mobile connection. The customers can also manage their subscriptions online for all the Value Added Services, Special Offers or other Promo services by Telenor.

The best part of the billing system is that Telenor Weblounge does not ask you for the CVV2 number of your credit card. Making it more secure for you than ever. All the transactions are processed in offline mode manually. If the customer buys a new Telenor Persona Postpaid connection online through Telenor Persona Weblounge (TPW) the sim is delivered at the doorstep. Your creditcard will be charged when the sim will be delivered to the right person successfully.
